    About Time For A Post…

Of course it has been awhile since my last post. It seems that blog world is a bit of a roller coaster ride. These days it just seems like the time runs short or there is just too much to mention for the time I have. Well, enough of that for now. So what have I been up to? Life has been full of work, church, and the love of my life. Let’s begin with things on the work front. For those of you that didn’t know I work for iPCS Wireless, Inc. which is an affiliate company of Sprint. We own the Sprint cellular network for much of the area from Iowa to Pennsylvania. My official title is Network Planning Associate. I’m on the…

Showing Love, Not Demanding A Life Lived Under The Law

This morning it hit me, during my devotion time, how so many of us that claim to follow Christ get caught up demanding others, and ourselves, live under the law as a measure of whether you are a Christ follower. Our world is in disarray. As the church we need to embrace our world in love just as Christ showed the whole world. How we easily forget that Christ died for us while we’re still sinners. How then can we not follow his example and show that kind of love to our world?
  • The Goodness of Things…

So despite the disappointments that come my way. Life is good. At times I wish for things I think would make life better: more friends my age, my dream job, more money, a significant other. Today God has reminded me of all the blessings he has given me: my job, the friends I do have, exactly enough money to take care of myself, and a relationship with Him. I know I can seem like the most unhappy, unsatisfied person when you read my posts. Things aren’t usually as bad as I might make them sound. My biggest struggle is this whole area of relationships. Satan knows this is my button. He manages to push that at every opportunity. Well, I have great friends that continue…

    When God Calls for Patience…

I’ve been caught up tonight in some major Google searching. “For what” you may ask, “where is God leading me?”. The realm of my searching was community of faith, postmodern youth outreach, and reading some about the idea of the emergent church. What does this all mean? I have no clue. I feel an urgency to move (not just location), and for making great changes in my life. I’m searching to find out what’s next. I’m finding that perhaps God is calling me also to be patient and let Him reveal this change to me in His time. I kind of feel like it’s a bit cruel to be called in such a way but then asked to wait. I know, of course God is…

    Who’s Your Best Friend?

When you simply hang out together … when you carve out time for your most important relationship… when you make a point of sharing the little day-to-day moments… the results of that in your marriage are profound. – Biblical Secrets to a Happy Marriage This morning during my devotions time I was challenged with how I think about my wife. I’d heard other couples talking about their spouse being their best friend but I’d never really given it much thought myself and sort thought friends were in a different group than my wife. My best friend was a guy that I have served with in ministry for years and was the best man in my wedding. However if there is anyone in my life that should…
