Fighting the Urge to Just Go Back to Bed
Today was one of those mornings where after the alarm went off I ended spending the next 15 minutes debating with myself whether I should get ready to go run or just go back to bed and get some more sleep. I’m happy to say that running won today. #HWI #RiverBankRun #Run4Water #WhyIRun
Tackling 6 Miles On My Last Day In Virginia
Give the gift of clean water and hope for the future to children and families in Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon This was one of those tough morning runs, where you have thoughts of quiting early. If we let the overwhelming need minimize the significance of that one well that goes in then we risk giving up. It all starts with one. One step, one mile, one day, one village, one well. My Longest Run Since The 2019 GR Marathon
Most children in Sierra Leone don’t get to be “just kids” like kids can in America. Many children are the ones responsible for gathering the water that their entire family needs for the day. This results in either no education, or very little. Bringing more clean water to Africa means a better future for the children. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun Help Bring Clean Water to Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr I almost got 9 miles in, which is almost 3 miles beyond the farthest distance I’ve run since finishing the #GRMarathon in October. It definitely felt harder on the last half than the 1st half. I’m glad I was able to get through it without getting let cramps again.
