Sloshing Through A Wet Tuesday Long Run
Even though it had snowed the night before, it was a pretty wet run. When I got done my socks were soaked. One aspect of the slush that I don’t enjoy, besides the wet feet, is the buildup of ice that happens in my cleats and having to run with ice balls stuck to your feet. On the bright side it encouraged me to slow down. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun

Every Day is a New Day, Every Step is a Chance to Start Again
I didn’t get my Saturday long run in, staying up late too many days in a row made that a challenge. Today is a new week, an opportunity to start again. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun #Getaway

Finished Another 5.43mi Run Today
I headed back outside as the temperatures rose and the snow subsided. Even though the temperature was still in the teens there was no wind so it made for decent running conditions. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun

I felt really good even after taking this past Saturday off. It’s definitely been harder staying with it since I’m pretty disconnected from my Hope Water Team these days. I’m glad I got out there this morning to knock out some miles for clean water. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun

10 More Miles And 2 Years Ago
It was great weather for a 10 miles run this morning. As I finished things up I was reminded that just 2 years ago I was blessed to be hanging out with a bunch of children in Sierra Leone. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon #RiverBankRun I had hoped to return there last year but things didn’t work out. Traveling to Sierra Leone and seeing first hand the hardship of the lack of clean water, as well as the blessings a village experiences when a well is put in, is something that I will never forget. Let me tell you, until you have an experience like that your world view is pretty narrow minded. It’s that experience that has driven much of my perspective on the impact…
