And The Flight Begins

We got on our first flight of the journey. It was a pretty comfortable flight. Had a great time talking with Terry.

After arriving into Dulles airport we hung out on the tarmac to get our carry-on luggage.

We got our boarding passes for the next 2 flights and headed to Chipotle for supper.

In 5 weeks I’ll be running my 5th marathon and representing #HWI and spreading the message for the need of clean water in Africa. #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus With such a short time for training making sure I’m following the plan is really going to be key to finishing well. In that light I took advantage of the treadmill today and set the speed to the slow pace today called for. It was a tough early morning training run today. I can definitely tell that I haven’t eating well and getting enough sleep lately. I really need to reevaluate what I’m doing outside of my training runs if I’m going to even hope to complete another marathon. It was a little harder to get myself out of bed this morning but I overcame the desire to stay in bed. It turned out to be excellent temperature for a run. How Do You Stay Warm In Sub-Zero Temps? Run.

It really looks worse than it was. I was trying to get a smile in there but I think things were a little too frozen. Ha. Despite how cold things were with the wind chill, it was really a comfortable run. I even got finished with a pretty great average pace. While I listened to the worship music playing I spent time thinking about and praying for our Sierra Leone team. I’m excited to see God’s plans unfold. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun
