Integrity is not defined by proclaiming to be honest; it’s defined by the choices we make. When it comes to integrity, our words have to match our actions. We can’t just say we have integrity. We must choose it. – A Life Of Integrity

Life is all about the choices we make. Some of those choices seem easier than others. Three hard choices are the ones that really test your integrity.

    Managing A Late Start Interval Run

    This morning had an off start. After waking up and looking at the time I realized I had forgot to change my alarm the night before and I had woken up an hour late. I tried to get myself out the door as soon as I could but I knew there was no way I was going to get the 8-9 miles in that my training plan called for. On top of that it was an interval training run.   • Making The Best Of A Rainy Weekend Camping At Jellystone, Fremont-IN

    After a rocky start to the weekend on Friday we did our best to make the most of a rainy weekend at the Jellystone Campground in Fremont Indiana. We started off Saturday morning with our big breakfast meal. After breakfast, and a little fishing, we took in a train ride around the campground. After our lunch we did some more fishing, of course. Both the kids enjoyed fishing, especially when they kept getting bites. The nice part is that the pond was catch and release, and the kids really didn’t care how big the fish were.     A Run Focusing On The Physical Needs Of Others

    Had a sluggish start this morning, but I pushed myself and got things improved my the end of my run. I did miss most of the rain, just got caught in some sprinkles during the last quarter mile. Most of my focus though was on those I know that have physical needs, including our Enable The Children sponsored child. It seems that the physical needs in our world almost match that of the spiritual need. And yet we see time and again that God uses those physical needs to bring people into relationship with Him.     I Am Blessed To Be Able To Run

    Short easy 5 mile training run this morning. My focus this morning was on the Jon Martinson family and the people of Sierra Leone. I can’t begin to know what it’s like to lose a spouse or parent at a young age. It’s hard to believe that a man I worked alongside for years, and was always way healthier than me, is facing his last days. As for Sierra Leone, last night I happened to catch a little montage video of my trip, back in May, that Google Photos made. It brought back so many feelings from my time there.   • Our Purpose…to Glorify God…So Are We?

    While I read my devotions this morning I was faced with the question “Am I Glorifying God with my life?”. What does that look like? I want nothing more than to be in God’s will everyday of my life. How is this playing out in my work life, or in my relationship with Vanessa? What I hope for today is to begin a process of evaluating each day in light of God’s purpose for my life. My life is best kept in His hands and not my own.
