Another Tough Interval Training Run

I’m not sure what to make of yet another hard interval run. It is training so to a degree it should be hard. I guess I’m hopeful that in the end I will be better trained for the Groundhog Day Marathon come February. I think I consider it a failure when I can’t hit the intervals all right on with the expected pace. Maybe I’m focusing too much on the plan and trying to get better instead of just being content with being ready to simply finish the marathon. There is also the aspect of not losing sight of the reasons I run.

    Nailing The Saturday Long Run

    This morning I really just ran to the worship music and went at the pace that felt comfortable. I’m pretty blown away to see how much I improved my pace in just a couple of weeks, where I finished with a 9:50 min/mi pace. I think the most enjoyable part of my run this morning was just being pleasantly surprised by the next worship song. When the next song came on I just got into a zone of focusing on the music and running in time with it. I loved it.     Today Started Out Good, But Ended With Me Dropping Facebook Officially

    This morning I ran 5+ miles. It was a great time of prayer and thinking of the people in Sierra Leone and being concerned that with #COVID-19 putting people out of work will raising money for more wells be put at risk. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun The day ended with me deactivating my Facebook account, with no real intent on returning, out of frustration with people that call themselves Christ followers, people that I once called friends. Their behavior towards the pandemic makes them appear like they have little regard for human life, or caring about others more than themselves.
