Starting Another GR Marathon Season

This past Saturday was the official start of the 2020 season. The team had a virtual group run meeting via Zoom to kick things off. I was running almost 12 miles so I got them wrapped up before the group meeting. Today was an easy 5 mile run to start the week off.

As I wrapped up another 5 miles this morning my thoughts turned to the daily struggle to survive for so many in Sierra Leone. The hardship of trying to gather water, and not even clean water for many, is real. Adding the begin of the spread of #COVID19 in he country and I am deeply concerned about all of those I was blessed with meeting when I visited almost 2 years ago.
