10 Mile Saturday Run For Hope Water

This morning I got my 10 Mile run in before catching the Team Zoom call. I’ve been trying to get my long Saturday runs done early so that my family isn’t impacted by me being gone all morning. I was happy to hear our leader talk about the fact that there are still people in Africa in need of clean water despite everything going on with and the hardships many are facing because of it.

With the exception of some shorter runs with the Hope Water team on Saturdays, or a race, my time to run is generally early in the morning before the sun rises. The teams from World Hope that drill the new wells are skilled at what they do. They carefully choose a location and methodically carry out the execution of drilling a well.     I Am Blessed To Be Able To Run

    Short easy 5 mile training run this morning. My focus this morning was on the Jon Martinson family and the people of Sierra Leone. I can’t begin to know what it’s like to lose a spouse or parent at a young age. It’s hard to believe that a man I worked alongside for years, and was always way healthier than me, is facing his last days. As for Sierra Leone, last night I happened to catch a little montage video of my trip, back in May, that Google Photos made. It brought back so many feelings from my time there. I hope that I can return again. I’m also thankful to be a part of improving life there. #HWI #GRMarathon #Run4Water Donate to Clean Water…
