Life is Grand…

Well, I was doing some chatting with a good friend online earlier today. It kind of came to mind that it would appear my life is consumed with eHarmony and my quest to find that special someone. Anyways, of course this is not all that encompasses my life. There is more, here is what I said earlier:

I was just thinking to myself that I haven’t been very diligent in writing in my blog what God has been teaching me, there is really more going on for me spiritually than what is seen in my blog. God has been teaching me a lot through my reading and having daily time with Him. This eHarmony/relationship thing has really been a smaller part of my life, even though from my blog you’d think otherwise. I’ve been so blessed by the changes I’ve made in my schedule/time to have quite time in the mornings and evenings.

Well, I know what wasn’t say much but it had me thinking it’s time to move onto other topics. I’ve spent quite enough time filling up the blog with that topic. It may of course come up again. Well I’m off to be a little productive yet tonight. Later!

Oh, one more thing. I think I have a new favorit music group, Rivertribe. They are great! It’s some cool Christian techno. I downloaded their Christmas album, it’s excellent!

    Another Year Older…

    Well, I’m now one year older at 27. I guess I’m kind of starting off this new year of my birth with some changes, LOL. I was able to get up at 5 this morning & be to work by 7. I ate breakfast, watched a little news, did some devotions. I was given a little celebration during break at work too! I was given a birthday balloon and a card from everyone in the office. It was nice to have my birthday be a little more than just another day. That was really the extent of it but it was the best birthday I’ve had in a long while.     So, Sunday I didn’t get a blog entry written. I was lazy. And now I’ve got a ton to write. Of course here we are again sitting at 11:45, just cant’t beat the night owl.     Where’s The Line…Freedom in Christ or Good Witness

    (1 Corinthians 14:13-25) In my devotion time today, Paul was again talking to the church in Corinth about matters of witness to unbelievers and escentially the freedom found in Christ. The problem for the early church, and I would say that this problem has not gone away, was that for the unbelievers (or even weak or new in faith) there were things that they didn’t understand which easily turned them off to Christianity. The hard part comes in that God has called us, as Christians, to be different than this world.     (John 1:15-28) – One thing that can be confusing wen you are reading through the Scriptures is the fact that the same names are used in more than one context. Here we’re reading the book of John and right at the begin he begins talking about John. The John that is talked about here is actually John the Baptist who, if you read more of the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John) you’ll find out is actually Jesus cousin. Now John the Baptist was called by God to go ahead of Jesus and prepare people for his coming. John was a pretty wild looking guy and got pretty riled up when speaking about Jesus coming.
