Quick…New Calendar

Thx Google for all the neat tools they keep pumping out. I’m now using Google Calendar slightly integrated into my blog. Should work ok. I’m feeling the itch to get back into blogging and podcasting…we’ll see what the schedule brings. I’m also thinking it might be time for a WordPress upgrade and site redesign/makeover. I may even go so far as bridge the gap between my blog site on the Tim blog. Perhaps I’ll bring the designs of the two inline with each other and distribute the content logically between them as well. We’ll see what I feel like doing, let alone have time for. I’ve been feeling for some time that my blog site really kind of got out of hand with so much stuff. There are parts that don’t get updated very often and perhaps should either be removed or at least moved to a page rather than taking up space on the long-winded sidebar. Well, I need to go to bed, blah! Cheers!

BTW, we’re going dancing tomorrow! (Tues) Actually, more accurately we’re taking a dance class. I can’t wait!

    God’s Working

In an effort to trying posting on a regular basis, here goes #2 for the year. 🙂 Recently over the course of a few weeks I applied for a job, got 2 intrviews and was offered a job. The job, in-and-of itself, I would have loved, however it would have come at a great financial cost to my family, which would have made it much harder to either adopt again or think about buying a new house. I think what was most important that came out of the whole situation was the realization that neither me or my family has any real goals or plans for our lives. God really brought that to light, and really made it apparent that without that sort of plan…

    A Day of Blessings…

Well today has been such a full day of blessings. The sermon this morning, given by President Egge, was on generosity and not just about giving money, but the generosity that Christ showed to all through time & help. It was really good to hear about being generous in all areas of your life, following Christ’s example. Our LifeShapes study was excellent as well. Today we went through the hexagon, which focuses on prayer, and using the Lord’s Prayer as the model. While it gace and guideline, it also showed the vast ways that guideline can be worked out in our prayer life. Something that has brought me more in tune to a better prayer life is being open to the Holy Spirit’s leading in…
  • Prayer — Petra

First I want to thank You Lord for being who You are For coming to the rescue of a man who’s drifted far For calling me to be Your son and calling me to serve Lord the way You’ve blessed my life is more than I deserve Keep the ones I love so dearly, Fill their emptiness while I am gone, And fill the loneliness in me Chorus: This is my prayer, Lifted to You, Knowing You care even more than I do This is my prayer, Lifted in Your name, Your will be done I humbly pray Let me be the evidence of what Your grace can do To a generations struggling to find themselves in You May they come to know the love…

    God Has Our Back

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? – Romans 8:31 NLT This verse should give us the confidence to take on anything. Of course anything that is part of God’s plan and not our own doing. We need to hold on to this truth when we have those bad days where we wonder if it can get any worse or we face seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
  • Let The Games Begin…

Well, I have to say it was nice to be getting back into the swing of playing Settlers of Catan. There was only four of us tonight, verses the regular 5, but it was a good close game all around. Right off the bat I noticed I made a rather major error in the placement of my pieces that kind of did me in for winning. Work today was pretty good. It never seems like I get everything I want to get done. I did mostly complete one project, at least the biggest part of it. Hopefully next week I’ll be able to wrap that up. Even though the past two nights, and most likely even tonight, I’ve been staying up way too late, I…

  1. actually its not the big of a deal. I actually taught tim how do dance, along with how to start a socialist movement, and peel apples into to perfectly shaped squares using nothing more than a cd rom and a three pennies.

  2. Just so you know… Tim is a great dancer. He did very well! And, it was actually his idea, but I really had lots of fun too. I’m very excited to learn more with Tim.

By the way, Tim is doing really well here. I know you all miss him, but I’m so glad that he is here. He is getting involved in lots of different things here. Sometimes I’m so busy that I feel bad, but Tim is always letting me know that he is here to help me. He is amazing! But you all already knew that right??

Well, I thought I better comment on here – I hadn’t done that in quite some time. Oh and by the way, Tim has been planning something for my birthday on Saturday and he has been giving me clues each day. It has been pretty cool – but I’m not sure if I will figure it out until that night. He is so creative! Anyways, I better go.
