And The Flight Begins

We got on our first flight of the journey. It was a pretty comfortable flight. Had a great time talking with Terry.

After arriving into Dulles airport we hung out on the tarmac to get our carry-on luggage.

We got our boarding passes for the next 2 flights and headed to Chipotle for supper.

Beating The Urge To Go Back To Bed

A little windy this morning but it made for a nice cool run. I didn’t feel like I slept very well so it was hard to get going this morning. The thought crossed my mind a couple of times to just skip the run today and go back to bed. I couldn’t get myself to do that though. I know that once I actually get moving things turn around. Also, it’s the best time for me to get one-on-one with God with little distraction. It’s hard to believe that the #GRMarathon is only like 6 weeks away. On Friday, June 7th, I had the opportunity to join a group of #HWI Team members as part of a marathon relay team. I was chosen to bring the team home running the last 6.2 mile(10K) of the relay. It was a tough run for me as my phone/watch wouldn’t work, other than music through my headphones, so I had no idea what my pacing was and no timer to keep me hydrated regularly like I’m used to. I felt like I was sort of running blind. What Difference Does A Drilled Well Make?

Something that may not really be understood when people hear that #HWI helps to put in wells in Africa. The wells that Hope Water International partners with #WorldHope are drilled wells. These wells go down deep to clean water, and they overcome the challenges of the dry season.
