Hard Working Weekend, Deck Progress Was Made
Besides an awesome 5K training group run with the HWI Team Daybreak on Saturday it was pretty much a deck building weekend. I spent most of the day Saturday completing the deck support base. And on Sunday I was able to get cracking on screwing down the deck board. I completed half the deck. I put the patio furniture on the finished area just to feel a little bit more sense of accomplishment. I was really hoping to get it all finished this weekend but I’ll be plugging away at the second half this week. Hopefully i’ll have it completed by or during next weekend.Home Office Upgrade

Moving On From A Marathon…It’s Really Not About Me
So today is the 2nd day since completing the marathon, and unfortunately I find myself in more of a discouraged state than in celebration of my accomplishment. There are many things going through my head, many thoughts that cause me to be more disappointed with marathon Sunday. Nothing played out like I had hoped. I ended up coming in behind most of all the other marathon runners from our group despite leading the pack throughout training. I didn’t get to cross the finish line with my running partner, or my kids. I ended up walking most of the last 4.5 miles. I ended up going to the medical aid tent after crossing the finish line. Running, Community, And Living With Purpose
I read this story tonight and it got me thinking about the journey I’ve been on but even more the HWI Daybreak community that I’ve been blessed to be apart of. Running has become for me something I couldn’t even have fathomed a little more than a year ago. Running for me is apart of who I am, and the relationships I’m building are a huge part of that as well. I hope that my running and my journey can be a light of Hope in the lives of people I share it with. Yard Projects Completed
This weekend was a busy one. We completed 3 yard projects including a new sandbox, stone fire bowl ring, and a prepped area for the above ground pool when it arrives. A lot of projects knocked off that we look forward to enjoying the rest of the summer.Where Is God Leading Me
Today is a challenging day for me. No matter what is placed before me I know that God will reveal when I need my heart changed.
