Cabinet Remodeling Tonight

Vanessa picked up an oscillating multi-tool for me today so I could get the cabinet above the stove modified to fit the new microwave. Had to make a run for a second blade to tackle the few nails. Overall this is a slick tool. Got to have the right tool for the job on these projects. ?

    Hard Working Weekend, Deck Progress Was Made

    Besides an awesome 5K training group run with the HWI Team Daybreak on Saturday it was pretty much a deck building weekend. I spent most of the day Saturday completing the deck support base. And on Sunday I was able to get cracking on screwing down the deck board. I completed half the deck. I put the patio furniture on the finished area just to feel a little bit more sense of accomplishment. I was really hoping to get it all finished this weekend but I’ll be plugging away at the second half this week. Hopefully i’ll have it completed by or during next weekend.

    A Post, A Post, At Last A Post

    So what have we been up to, well when I say we I mean me. So life has been a little crazy this past week, although I don’t expect it to calm down anytime soon. I’ve got a lot of things to do by this weekend. I’ve got a load of photos to scan and some more video to import. I don’t think I’ll be getting the Cantata CD’s done by Christmas, oh well. Ok I guess I’m getting a little ahead of myself. How about we go back to last week. So my last post was Wednesday. That night was youth group and the whole youth praise team was there to lead music.     Dance, Dance, Dance…

    I know that I haven’t posted in awhile. And I know that my last post, that some may have seen, was a not ans exciting life update post. I haven’t forgotten about the blog world, life just sometimes gets away from you. My podcasting days come back to mind every now and then too. I really think that if I’m going to get back into the podcasting I need to come up with a solid plan for organizing each show. Vanessa and I have just completed the 4th week of our dance class.   • New House Flooring, Day 2…Dining Room Done

    Tonight was flooring day #2. I initially had the help of my father-in-law and then my buddy Jon Kay arrived to give a hand. We wrapped things up at about 11pm and got just into the kitchen. We got all the underlayment in the kitchen set but there will be some initial crazy cutting required. The kitchen is smaller so hopefully it doesn’t go so bad. Once the kitchen is complete then appliances can be moved in, and the hallway can be completed. We’ll see how the rest of everything goes. So thankful for the help we’ve had getting things ready.

    Using WordPress As My Note Taking Tool

    So this past Sunday, in a continued effort to find my replacement note taking tool for Evernote, I decided to give my blog a try as a not taking tool. I have the Android app on my phone and tablet so that step made things fairly easy. For the most part things went very well, except I still don’t like the lack of Post Format editing support in the mobile app. I still had to switch over to the web to refine my final note the way I liked it to be.
