God Has Our Back

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? – Romans 8:31 NLT

This verse should give us the confidence to take on anything. Of course anything that is part of God’s plan and not our own doing. We need to hold on to this truth when we have those bad days where we wonder if it can get any worse or we face seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

    Matthew 17:1-8, Jesus and the mount of transfiguration. When Jesus took a few of the Disciples up to the mountain top, I see two things that happened. One, is that He revealed His glory as God. It has me thinking about all the ways that God reveals Himself to us, whether through His Word, through others, or through things that happen. We have many opportunities to see God in the world.     Busy Days, Lazy Nights…

    Just wanted to make a quick post. My days, Monday & Tuesday, were crazy busy. On the other hand both evenings were kind of lazy on my part. Monday I did try working on recording some music. That would have been better if I ended up actually having something to show for the time I spent. I sort of had something, probably was trying to add in some percussion loops to what I had recorded. I ended up having my own timing on what I recorded. Well, of course I didn’t save each take as a seperate recording session, GarageBand still seems a bit odd to work with at times.   • I’m Sick…And Tired…

    Each day passes by and I wonder what ever happened to the daily need to publish my thoughts. Well it is still there, however I find my time somehow filled with other things. The time passes and my eyes grow heavy with the thought of sleep. Perhaps I have more of a life now, perhap I have come to a point of not so depressing thoughts. I guess one factor that has changed in my life is the on-going communication I have with others. I actually have real people to care on discussion with.   • DISC and Colds…

    Not going to post much today. We had a seminar on DISC profiles today at work. It was good to understand our own personalities and how we should interact with others of different personalities. I didn’t end up going to Fargo, I need to get some rest and didn’t want things to get too late getting home. Although it’s late now, I’m heading to bed soon. I did get together with John & Anders and we watched The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy it was funny to watch again. It’s on my list of movies to purchase. I think Anders has convinced me to read the books. I got notice that my new digital camera should be here Tuesday. I’m excited to start getting out…

  • Wedding Photos Available…and a Quick Update

    Well, I know that I haven’t posted in awhile. Married life has changed things quite a bit for me, altough I know that even before being married I was lacking in the post, oops. Just some quick updates. Photos from the wedding are available (http://photos.noltefamily.org/), hopefully we’ll get some honeymoon photos posted soon. The honeymoon was amazing and life now is beginning to find some normalcy. I’m loving being married, especially to have a wife as amazing as Vanessa. We had such a great evening together last night!
