God Has Our Back

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? – Romans 8:31 NLT

This verse should give us the confidence to take on anything. Of course anything that is part of God’s plan and not our own doing. We need to hold on to this truth when we have those bad days where we wonder if it can get any worse or we face seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

  • Start Out Another Week…

    Well, as it would happen I’m actually getting another post in. My hope was to get back to posting daily. In a sense I sort of have been posting daily, it just happens that it hasn’t been on here. I’ve been posting daily devotional thoughts over at the Faith Shaping website. I do want to attempt to get regular weekly posts at the very least.   • Feeling 99% Today!

    Thanks for all the prayers guys! I’m feeling about 99% back to normal today. Got up at my normal 5:30 am, got some snow moved and got to work early. Now I’m patiently awaiting my PowerBook to arrive, hopefully the weather doesn’t have a negative effect. Well, have a great day all! P.S. Just did a quick check, it arrived in Minneapolis at 6:04 am.     In The Beginning

    (John 1:1-14) – John starts out describing a little about what the beginning was like. The Word was another name given to Jesus. It’s interesting that John starts out this way. It is very clear that the importance is placed on this description to setup the rest of the book. Jesus claimed he was God, was equal with God. The very fact that he also had the name of the Word and that these verses explain exactly was Jesus claimed is not insignificant. Jesus Christ always was and is equal to God the Father & God the Holy Spirit. John 1:12, this is a very popular verse.   • Time To Get Serious: God Can Handle It

    Ephesians 1:1-6, today’s study talks mostly of how great and self-sufficient God is. It is pointed out that just by the very complexity and detail of nature, God shows his power and greatness. God didn’t have to create us, but it pleased Him to do so, this is also what gives us hope. God didn’t have to make a way for salvation, but He did because of his love for us. Well, the thoughts for this morning are not very long but our response to God’s grace and self-sufficient power ought to be one of praise and thanksgiving. Amen!
