God Has Our Back

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? – Romans 8:31 NLT

This verse should give us the confidence to take on anything. Of course anything that is part of God’s plan and not our own doing. We need to hold on to this truth when we have those bad days where we wonder if it can get any worse or we face seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

    Far And Few Between…

    I know it can only be a quick one. I can’t believe it’s been over a month since my last post. I remember the days when I could barely posting only single entry each day on my blog. I’m really thinking once life settles down a little, that I really want to get back into at least giving some updates with what Vanessa and I are up to. Only 19 more days until I’ll be a married man!     Busy Night…Small World

    Well, today (er, I guess looking at the time I have to say tomorrow), it was a pretty slow day at work. Had a fun time talking about bread with a co-worker, she has like 3 bread machines, seems like her family would have bread coming our of their ears. From the conversations in the break room today you could definitely tell it was a Friday. After work I stopped at the seminary to meet with Phil to talk about a projector installation project.     A Little Behind…LOL

    I just realized how funny that title could be read. LOL. Anyways, I just realized I haven’t posted since like Friday, WOW! Ok, so I should have a lot to write about right, well not so much. Also this going to bed early thing has really been cutting into my blogging time. That and the fact that I’ve been doing some reading each night besides. There just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day for everything. Maybe I’ll have to start doing a mid-day thing, like during lunch. Since I’m usually a long poster this would at least break my posts up into smaller chunks. Well, hmm…I’ll try to get something more in, to recap the weekend, perhaps in the morning. I’m off…

    The Keyword is “Since” Not “If”

    As a follow up to my previous post it’s important that we remember that everything we are called to do as a Christ follower is in the context of “since” and not “if”. What’s the difference? If we have the thinking, “if someone is doing ‘x’, or not doing ‘y’, they can’t be a believer”, we are basically inferring that someone has no faith or belief in Christ because of their actions. That’s a pretty big leap, and a sure fire way to further the view that Christians are righteous, judgemental, hippacrits, essentially modern day Pharisees.     Unfortunate News…

    So I didn’t get a blog entry in yesterday. Oh well, not much went on. I spent a good portion of the day trying to work out wireless issues. I won’t go into the details, however, ended up spending time today working on it too. I guess it’s back to the drawing board on this one. I’m going to need to do some more research into this. So I got two rather unfortunate emails today, both from my Mom. She’s going to be leaving our home church and finding a new church. This has a lot to do with everything that went on with Masha and how too many people at church didn’t understand. Things were very hard for my whole family. People at church…
