A Wet Easy 11 Miles

I got 11 miles in this morning even though it was raining. With being stuck inside, and at home, pretty much all the time, I was glad to get out end enjoy the end of my run in some daylight. When I finished I enjoyed getting on a Zoom call with the team and catching up a little bit. This season will look a bit different without our normal kick-off, but we still have many ways to stay connected.

During my run the rain slowed down to a light most for a bit then it decided to pick-up again towards the end. In spite of the rain it was warm enough that I didn’t need to wear a stocking hat.

First Ice Beard Of The Winter

Despite the stormy winter weather I was able to make some decent time. Having cleats that go over my running shoes is a huge help with any sort of snow and ice I encounter. The real problem was having my running glasses getting fogged up so often from the cold wind. I enjoyed some worship music while running despite most of my focus being on the ground in front of me. I spent a little time praying for a friend’s family due to some major medical issues. I think if I can manage this mornings weather I’ll be ready for the #GroundhogDayMarathon and whatever I get hit with. #HWI #Run4Water Donate to Wells – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne

Joining The Hope Water Team Again

Donate to Clean Water in Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon This morning started off with waking up at 3:45am in order to get to Johnson Park by 4:30am. Doing 15 miles I needed to make sure I could get my run wrapped up by the time the HWI Team met at 7am. I got done with plenty of time to hang out with the team before things got started. Things turned out way better than the previous week’s run. On top of that I pretty much got in a consistent pace for the entire run which is pretty unheard of for me. It sounded like many had a rough last week. When the miles start creeping up things move to another level and your…

Yes, I Did Get A Quick Morning Run In

Give Children Clean Water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon I had to have slept really well last night, I felt great running this morning and the pace I was running at felt like I was doing way slower that I was. Where are the best places for wells to go in Africa? The desire with new wells is to place them where they will have the maximum impact on the community. In many cases this will be near the school in the village. Water has a huge impact on children in Africa.

Day Camp in Kathirie, Celebration And Sharing The Love

Today started off a little bit slower. There was a little bit of a communication problem with breakfast but it all worked out with plenty of time before our World Hope transportation arrived. Terry and I actually had a little time to chat with some of the hotel staff after breakfast during and after the butchering of our goat. Yes, Terry and I got to see them butchering “litte Ron” as some of us liked to call him. We explained a little bit about Hope Water International and the partnership with World Hope. Once our rides arrived we loaded up and headed to the office to meet up with some World Hope staff that would be joining us for the day in Katherie. Once things…
