Ok, some may be wondering why I’ve had no posts on the blog since Monday. Well it so happens that I have had no internet at home since Wednesday. Hopefully they’ll get it fixed today. I’m gone tonight so there probably won’t be a post until Saturday. I’ve got a lot of things to catch up on. Chow for now!

    Camping Trip…Sa-weat!

    What a weekend! I have to say that this weekend was the most fun and restful trip I’ve had in a long time. From the car-ride on Friday, to the trip back, the weekend was filled with amazing fellowship and much needed rest. On Friday Laura got to my house after work and we headed to the campground, St Croix State Park, to meet up with Chad. Chad had a conference in the area, so he was able to get to the campsite and setup camp before we got there.     Where’s The Line…Freedom in Christ or Good Witness

    (1 Corinthians 14:13-25) In my devotion time today, Paul was again talking to the church in Corinth about matters of witness to unbelievers and escentially the freedom found in Christ. The problem for the early church, and I would say that this problem has not gone away, was that for the unbelievers (or even weak or new in faith) there were things that they didn’t understand which easily turned them off to Christianity. The hard part comes in that God has called us, as Christians, to be different than this world. While we are to be different we are also to do so, not in a way that turns people away, but in a way that draws other to Christ. There comes decisions which have…

    Well, here it is almost 11 at night and I’m wide awake, well sort of. I really should have been getting ready for bed an hour ago. When you become a night owl it sure is hard to change. Well let’s recap some of the week a little. I’ve had some interesting conversations this week. I have to say God has really been speaking to me this week, of course He tends to do that when you’re diving in the Word. Also He has been bring about opportunities for me that I just didn’t think were out there.     Seeing, And Meeting, The Needs of Others

    Responding to the Needs of Others Around You I have, at times, been cognizant of the needs of those I’ve been in connection with. Most often the help has come by way of financial assistance. There have been other times that non-financial needs have arose and I’ve responded, but those times seem to have been in the minority. Being Intentional About Seeing, And Meeting, The Needs of Those Around Us We are called to not only help our brothers and sisters in Christ, but to help all those in need around us. I’m reminded of the book the 10 Second Rule. There are so many needs all around us. How often do we simply turn a blind eye all because of our own selfish desires?…

  • Where’s My 48 Hour Day?

    The semi-circle, working from rest, following your purpose, and bringing calm to life. It seems nearly impossible to not get caught up in the crazy & busy world we live in. Even in ministry there seems to more things to do, or that could be done, then there is time. None of these things are bad, and it feels like they are so important. In the whole scope of it all, the things we spend our time on can feel pointless in terms of enternity. I have things I would like to do for myself, but those things tend to get put aside so that I can try to “do it all” for others. It seems like a blessing and a curse. And then you…
