Friday & Traveling…

Well Friday was a typical day. The construction on my new office is taking a little longer than originally hoped. It looks like I should be in by next Wednesday, the server equipment will have to wait until next Friday. I had to take an early lunch break so I could be home while they fixed my internet. It ended up being some problem with the signal coming from the poll. Basically I ended up eating my lunch while I continued working at my desk. I took off early to head to Brainerd for the evening, to say a final goodbye to my brother. He was shipped out at about 1am Saturday. I didn’t stay to actually see him off as I wanted to get home at a decent time. HP LaserJet 4M PlusMy Dad brought the computer equipment he got for me from his work, they were having a yard sale of sorts. He has explained that they’ve now got all-in-one copier/printers that they use now. I got two laser printers & a bunch of hard drives. When I got home that night I decided to get one of the printers hooked up. It was pretty slick as both printers have networking cards and are Mac compatible. The one I’m keeping even has a duplexing unit. It works pretty sweet. I picked up some laser paper for it today. The other printer I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it.

    It’s All About The Children

    We began day 3 at the World Hope offices of course. As we’ve hung out at the offices, and been driven to villages, we’ve had the opportunity to get to know many of the nationals that work for World Hope. It’s been a blessing to have people that are willing to be patient with us as we’ve tried to learn about the culture and learn to better communicate. We left the World Hope offices for a quick stop at the village of Bomballi Bana, where World Hope has been working since 2010.     So What’s My Problem?

    In short, life, more specific, work. So as it grinds on even later in the evening I just felt I needed to get back to this things called blogging. So obviously the daily anecdotes of my life haven’t made their way to this space in cyber-space much. When life get’s crazy you have to take a hard look at what you are spending your time on. I have days that I wish I wasn’t so willing to do things for people. It’s in my nature to give, and give, and give, and give until I’ve got nothing left for me.     What God Brings…

    It has been a few days since my last update. I think I should now be able to have more regular updates as I finally have internet access at my place, and my wireless is up and running. It’s not that I couldn’t post from Vanessa’s, that’s where the last one was posted from, I’ve just had a lot of other things to do during the day, and my best posting time is usually at night. If I’m at Vanessa’s in the evening we are usually spending time together, well I guess we’ve been spending just about all our evenings together.
