Tim: I just feel like the world today is just destroying our youth
Cassie: that and not alot of ppl are covering them in prayer…they just call it “humanity problems” and ignore it
Tim: yes
Tim: this issue of moral relativism (sry for the big words) is getting worse by the day
Cassie: it really is
Cassie: we need to start making just praying for these kids a deal every day instead of just waiting until one kid blows up with problems
Tim: yes
Tim: absolutely
Tim: I’m starting to see also, how it seems moral relativism is creeping into the Christian community also
Cassie: definitely
Tim: don’t get me wrong, I’m not a legalist by any means…
Tim: but God’s truth is firm, it’s not wishy-washy
Cassie: hey i believe that 100%
Tim: His truth is also compassionate…and I think we are not clear on how compassion comes into it…I think we distort compassion with tolerance.

  • Podcast Site Development Begun…

    Well, the domain name (https://www.faithshaping.org/) has been setup, and an initial site has been created. I won’t probably be getting back to the work on this for at least another week. I hope to have the two final projects I’m working on finished up by then. I’m also hoping to have my new Podcasting gear by then, actually it may be here by the end of the week, we’ll see. I can’t wait to really get going on this. I’m not exactly sure how I’m going to fair as a radio personality type.

    For Better Or Worse, The Ease Of Google Services And Devices For Kids

    My daughter knows exactly how to send email on our Chromebooks and managed to do so, sending an email to my wife, without any prior direction from me. #kids #technology #parenting #gmail #email #education To provide some context, our home network and devices are all pretty well locked down and managed. Our 7 & 9 year old’s don’t have complete free reign to do whatever they want, at least without bounds. Additionally, their elementary school uses Google for Education and they get school email addresses starting at 3rd grade. My kids have experience and access to a lot of technology, both at school and at home. I’m a pretty big tech geek, given I’ve been a programmer and general IT person for the past 25…

  • Not Been Forgotten…But Changes Coming

    Writing a quick note that although my last post was 6 months ago I think it’s about time to make some changes. I’m not sure exactly the plan. I may just start working on bring this site up to speed and use it as my hub for both Twitter and Facebook. Some other possibilities might be to roll it into a new Family site or move it into a portfolio of work site. I’m not sure, but 1 thing is for sure that with all of the domain names and “sites” that I control I need to pay some attention to them once again…or at the very least set them up to be a launching point to my activities in the Social Media space.     How often are we “too busy” to listen to our children? How often do we let our personal agendas, attitudes, or being tired let us get frustrated and angry with our children? I’m sure that we all have our moments. And I’m pretty sure we’ve all had to deal with frustrating people in our lives, other than our children. If we want to have a relationship with our children that has a solid foundation then we need to do more but listening and curb the frustration and anger.
