Showing Love, Not Demanding A Life Lived Under The Law

Galatians 5:13‭-‬14 NLT

This morning it hit me, during my devotion time, how so many of us that claim to follow Christ get caught up demanding others, and ourselves, live under the law as a measure of whether you are a Christ follower. Our world is in disarray. As the church we need to embrace our world in love just as Christ showed the whole world. How we easily forget that Christ died for us while we’re still sinners. How then can we not follow his example and show that kind of love to our world?

    Well folks (readers/freinds) I’m am now know as a Michigander (as Vanessa would call it). I haven’t gotten a new drivers license or license plates on the car but I really do feel at home at the moment.     Just A Short One

    Well, here I am in the wee hours of the night. So the pleasant act of IMing and playing music caught me up tonight. I pretty much got my taxes done, and it looks like a good tax return. Too bad I have debt, I go out any buy one of them fancy 5G iPods, 🙂 Well, I’m hoping in the next couple of years to have all the small debt paid off.     When God Moves…

    Well, I have a feeling if I just let things start to fly this post might get rather lengthy. Hmm, hold on to your hat. 🙂 So today was sort of a struggle for me. The part of my job that I like the least is having to sit at a computer and correct people’s addresses, or add them to a mailing list, yuck.     What It Means To Be A Good Father

    One of the challenges I have is not getting upset with my kids. In turn that means not making my kids upset with the way I handle my frustrations with their behavior. I need to remember this verse every time I’m faced with training and disciplining my kids. Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them.     My Long Weekend…

    So it’s been a few days since my last post. When things get busy I find it hard to get them in. Things have been kind of crazy. I just noticed too that my last real blog post was Tuesday. Wednesdays always get busy and late, actually I ended up going over to John & Caristy’s after youth group again. It’s good for me to be apart of some social things, especially with people my own age. So let’s recap a little. Wednesday youth group was good. Joel & Liz Christensen gave a talk about their work in China.
