Stepping Up The Long Run Miles
On Saturday I was up at 4:15am to get my 11 miles in before family time. It felt good to get a longer run in and not be so concerned about my pace, though I did have a time limit so that is always an additional motivator. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun Will you commit to help with clean water? https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr
11 Frosty Beard Miles
Today marks the last of my longer training runs as the taper begins before marathon day. The temp this morning was in the high teens which resulted in a pretty frosty beard. I ended up pushing things a little harder than the training plan called for, but I was trying to make it back home at a decent time. I ended up a bit slower the second half because I pushed things a bit harder than I should have, but that’s just the way it goes. I finished the last half mile strong though. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus Give clean water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr
Knocking Out A Hot 18 Miles
Knocked out a long 18 miles with my running partner this morning. Glad to have someone to help keep me going. “If you want to run fast, run alone. If you want to run far, run in community.” The second half of the run was hot out in that sun. #HWI #GRMarathon #Run4Water
Warm Weather Means Running Outside
Had a great morning run OUTSIDE today. Felt great to be outside again. I can tell that my body is allowed to more naturally be in control of the pace I’m running at any given point. I do think the treadmill running has helped my outside run today. Got a personal best on 3miles, woot! [endomondowp type=’workout’ workout_id=’860773514′]

New Hill Training Route And Focus On Why I Run
New training route this morning, something with a bit more hills. I was still a little soar from the half marathon on Saturday but there wasn’t any noticable increase in pain during my run which is encouraging. I spent time specifically focusing on why I run and thinking back on my time in Sierra Leone. I prayed specifically for our ETC sponsored child and his mother. I also took time to pray for some of my co-workers that I know have been going through some tough life stuff recently. #HWI #GRMarathon #Run4Water #SierraLeone #WhyIRun
