This morning had an off start. After waking up and looking at the time I realized I had forgot to change my alarm the night before and I had woken up an hour late. I tried to get myself out the door as soon as I could but I knew there was no way I was going to get the 8-9 miles in that my training plan called for. On top of that it was an interval training run. I decided to just follow the intervals but cut the run short in order to get back home at a decent time. I did manage to get just shy of miles in, even though I had some tough going intervals. A day late on posting this. Better late than never, right? It’s hard to imagine that I’m only a couple of days away from the marathon. I so appreciate this guy training with me these past many weeks. Looking forward to hitting the next milestone and crossing the finish line together.
The training schedule this week is starting to increase my weekly miles, so my mornings are going to begin getting earlier. Early mornings are actually hard for me but it’s the only way I can really make the time to run. Why would I choose to get up in the wee hours of the morning to run? You know it’s going to be a hot and humid day when you feel it at 5am. Glad to be back out running after a week’s time of being out of it.
