10 Mile Hard Run, In More Ways Than One

It was a real struggle to do 10 miles this morning after coming down with a cold and missing a training run. The first half was pretty good but the second half was a big push. I only got caught in a little bit of rain at the 7 mile mark so it was actually refreshing. Donate to Water, to Life – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne I did spend much of the second half of my run paying for those God prompted me to pray for. That also included prayer for Alimamy and his family, our ETC sponsored child in Sierra Leone. #HWI #GRMarathon #Run4Water #WaterIsLife #WhyIRun

Praying For Rain And Wells In Sierra Leone

As I felt the light rain coming down as I ran I couldn’t help but think of #SierraLeone and the long drive season they, putting a strain on water supplies. I especially thought of the village of #Ronkorhun and their struggles for water. I continue to pray for the rains needed to grow their crops and restore their water supplies. I also pray that Ronkorhun would see the miracle of a new drilled well in their village sooner than anyone could have expected. #HWI #HessLakeRun #GRMarathon #Run4Water #WhyIRun Donate to Wells in Africa

Knocking Out Another Long Run With My Running Partner

It was a great morning for a long run with my running partner John. It was nice to have him help me keep a better pace throughout the run which actually resulted in an even better finish, both in pace and how I felt. Sometimes accountability it the best thing to keep you in track. I definitely feel more ready for the Groundhog Day Marathon now compared to some of my other recent runs. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus “If you want to run far, run in community. • Back At The 5K Training

I got back outside and returned to using Endomondo for my 5k training. Today’s training had 10 very fast intervals which really seemed to kick my butt by the last couple but I made it through. I did have a personal best for a 5K which was awesome given I’ve been out of it for a week. Was glad to be outside and back into the running routine. First Ice Beard Of The Winter

Despite the stormy winter weather I was able to make some decent time. Having cleats that go over my running shoes is a huge help with any sort of snow and ice I encounter. The real problem was having my running glasses getting fogged up so often from the cold wind. I enjoyed some worship music while running despite most of my focus being on the ground in front of me. I spent a little time praying for a friend’s family due to some major medical issues. I think if I can manage this mornings weather I’ll be ready for the #GroundhogDayMarathon and whatever I get hit with. #HWI #Run4Water Donate to Wells – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne
