However much I feel like I need or want. For villages in Africa the choice is not that simple. We have public drinking fountains, bathrooms everywhere. Every dollar Hope Water raises helps to make water more readily available to those in need. I’m glad to say that I didn’t end up with any significant injuries from my fall on Saturday, other than some scraped up knees. I managed a pretty intensive run this morning. Some days you just feel great out there running and some days you don’t. Today was the latter, but it was still intense, and I was really pushing myself. It’s days like today that I actually appreciate those hard days where it feels like you are barely moving and all you can think of is, “Am I there yet?”. I appreciate those days because I know that without those days, and overcoming them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I also know that especially on those days God was right there with me walking(sometimes literally) by my side helping me every step of the way. We had a fun day with the kids starting off with a birdhouse building project at Home Depot. The kids didn’t want to go but in the end they had a lot of fun. On our way home from birdhouse building we stopped to checkout the animals at PetSmart. The kida of course wanted to get more pets but we aren’t ready to go down that road just yet. We already have a cat that they have a hard time with. The afternoon was filled with festivities celebrating Jacob’s Birthday. He was so happy to have family come adn especially his school friend. Us adults enjoyed some adult conversations for a change as well. Pokemon was the highlight of Jacob’s party.A Dry And Weary Land

What is even worse is the many hand dug wells that just dry up because they don’t go down far enough. When Hope Water helps to put a well in you can be sure it’s a well that won’t dry up during the dry season. When you are going all out for 12 minutes you start break down the time into segments just to keep from getting overwhelmed. The rain made it a little more challenging to see but I managed it well enough. The rain was refreshing and a great way to keep cooled down while running.
