    Tackling The Saturday Morning Training Run

    I was on the fence about going out this morning. I didn’t get a great night of sleep, and I woke up with a sore throat, so I was concerned whether doing 13 miles was a good idea. Once I actually got going things were good for the first 10 miles, it got a a little harder but I just stayed focused getting to the end and worried less about my pace. I enjoyed catching my longtime running partner, and his co-worker, as I passed by be his house on my run. Nice to have some encouragement along the way. I had a tough time after my run with my recovery. Helps to have home projects that needed my attention and to keep me going….

    Final Week Before Marathon Day

This week the number of runs is winding down, with only a short interval run this morning. I’ll do another short easy run on Thursday. It’s hard to believe that the marathon is this week already.     A Hot Morning Run To Remember Sierra Leone

    We’re definitely into the hot #summer runs. I can’t imagine doing my #training run later in the day with this heat, especially not with lots of water. I thought 1 bottle was going to be enough this morning, boy was I wrong. Despite the heat I still had a good time focusing on prayer and listening to God.     Just A Short Test Run

    Today, was a fitness level test run, 5 minute warm-up/cool down and 12 minutes of high intensity running. The intensity of these runs make it hard to think about much, though I still enjoyed the worship workout music.
