We have been fortunate in the U.S. to have had running water in our homes, generally, for the past 80+ years. This sort of infrastructure is just not widely available in Africa. Where even most rural homes in the U.S. have had their own well available right outside their home. Imagine having to make a couple of mile trek for a small amount of water to hopeful get through the day. A well changes all of that for a family in Africa.

Every mile the #HWI Team runs is a commitment to bring clean water to those in need in Africa. Villages like Ronkorhun where there are not only families but a school. However, children can’t attend school if they must spend their days walking to gather water. #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Donate to Wells in Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr
The TL;DR is: I am blessed more than I ever understood and I will make every effort to give thanks in all circumstances. Also, where God’s love exists there is always hope for something better. As I continue to process my experience in Sierra Leone Africa I can’t help but feel like I spent a…
A little damp this morning but I’ll take the warmer weather. Another round of intervals but they were definitely kicked up a notch. #HWI #HessLakeRun #GRMarathon #Run4Water
