Despite The Coronavirus The Need For Clean Water Has Not Gone Away

In these uncertain times there is one thing that is certain, there is still a need for clean water. Without clean water it becomes real hard to promote sanitation. I may not be running in a group but I’m still committed to running my own for clean water.

    New Hill Training Route And Focus On Why I Run

    New training route this morning, something with a bit more hills. I was still a little soar from the half marathon on Saturday but there wasn’t any noticable increase in pain during my run which is encouraging. I spent time specifically focusing on why I run and thinking back on my time in Sierra Leone. I prayed specifically for our ETC sponsored child and his mother.     The Return Of The Running Selfie

I’m hopeful that today’s run is a sign that my Saturday long run will go better this week. No matter whether we have a “bad” day or a good one, just getting out there and putting in some miles shows our commitment to the cause. Ultimately, more wells in Africa is the real goal regardless of how a training run goes. I haven’t seen any donations come in for my $1000 goal yet but I’m hopeful that someone will be inspired and moved to join with me every time I share.

Where I went wasn’t completely new but it was an area that I hadn’t been in any of my training routes for awhile. There are a fair amount of places to go for my runs so it’s nice to change things up once in a while.
