Working on a Better POSSE

Spent some time working on my setup with along with . I have some challenges with the translation to the Block Editor and how posts are handled by my theme.

In a perfect world my blog posts would automatically get syndicated out in a nice format. Given my primary input for new posts on my site is the WordPress mobile app this presents some challenges. I may need to look at doing some more custom code for all of this but then again maybe I just need to consider simplification.

    5K+ Christmas Morning Training Run

    After opening presents with the kids, and helping them get their gifts ready to play with, I headed out for a short Christmas run. I pushed it a bit as I wanted to make sure I wasn’t gone from the family too long. The kids were up before 5am this morning so it was good that I didn’t chance it and try to hey my run in before they woke up. I’m thankful for how God has blessed our family. I’m looking forward to more of a joy filled day.     Completing My 2nd Marathon, The Grand Rapids Marathon With Hope Water International

    I completed my 2nd marathon today, finishing with an average pace time of 1:01 better than last year. It was still a tough last 3-6 miles of the run, but I finished with a good run the last 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile. I took it a little easier on one of the last couple of miles to help out a fellow #HWI team member from the East Michigan group that was having a rough go of it. I needed the break too as my last 6 miles I was fighting off some calf cramps. Overall it was a great day and I finished much better this year than last.     Doing The Long Winter Run

    Got in good long run in this morning, with the help of my running partner. I was thankful to not have to do the whole 18 miles alone. It felt good to know that even in the winter I can do that long of a run. The last couple of miles was a push, but I was also about out of water, so that didn’t help matters. What is even worse is the many hand dug wells that just dry up because they don’t go down far enough. Where I went wasn’t completely new but it was an area that I hadn’t been in any of my training routes for awhile.
