Facing Defeat In Chapter 2 of The Lord of The Rings: Journeys Through Middle Earth

My son and I started Chapter 2 of our Journeys Through Middle Earth campaign tonight. I think we were a bit too confident in our abilities to battle and fight all of the enemies and I took a ton of damage and we lost. We’ll be on to Chapter 3 after we recover. Hopefully we’ve learned a few things from this defeat.

    Short Easy Tuesday Training Run

    The #Endomondo training plan called for a short easy run this morning, which really meant for a much slower pace then I ended up averaging. Of course I started out on the right track but as my running time increased so do my speed. It still felt easy, and my heart rate reflected that. The real take away is that I need to work on controlling my pace. I’m pretty sure I can’t sustain that sort of pace for a full marathon.     A Tough Thursday Interval Run

    When you don’t get a good night’s rest it definitely has an impact on your running. This morning was especially touch trying to keep up with the fast interval paces. Trying to make my way through the snowy sidewalks didn’t help matters either.     Just A Short Tuesday Run

    It was nice to sleep in a little before doing the short run, especially given my #Endomondo training plan has me on a 5 run per week schedule. The only problem with these short runs is that I get a little too caught up in my speed. I love having the worship workout music pumping me up to full speed. It was pretty warm out already at 5am. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon

    Fun Day With The Kids And Family

    We had a fun day with the kids starting off with a birdhouse building project at Home Depot. The kids didn’t want to go but in the end they had a lot of fun. On our way home from birdhouse building we stopped to checkout the animals at PetSmart. The kida of course wanted to get more pets but we aren’t ready to go down that road just yet. We already have a cat that they have a hard time with. The afternoon was filled with festivities celebrating Jacob’s Birthday. He was so happy to have family come adn especially his school friend. Us adults enjoyed some adult conversations for a change as well. Pokemon was the highlight of Jacob’s party.
