Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. – Matthew 6:33 NLT Our world tries to offer us a lot of things that distract us from what we should be pursuing. It goes without saying that when we are pursuing God our “needs” change. Many of what we think we need are merely wants, and God sometimes blesses us with those things as well.
Early Tuesday Morning Training Run For Clean Water
It’s a strange thing comparing your hot midday run to your cool early morning. I would have thought that I was going to knock my pace out of the park this morning but alas no. I have to believe that my lack of rest last night was a major contributor. The interesting thing was seeing my heart rate drop to the low to mid 130s during miles 5 & 6. I’ve even signed up for and allow the use of gravatars. Well, of course, busy-busy it has been. Not much of my life has been posted as of late. Maybe not today but hopefully tomorrow I’ll get a good long post in. On the the devos…
Prayer, Worry, and Thankfulness
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. – Philippians 4:6 NLT Prayer is not always easy for me, especially when I’m compelled to do it all on my own. We live in a world that perpetuates that thinking. Good wants us not only to bring Him our needs but wants us to come to Him with be thanks when things are going well. It’s easy to forget to go to God in the good times but that’s like never hanging out with your friends but just going to them when you need something. Most of us don’t like to be in that kind of relationship very long. How do we think God feels…
