Devotions For Sacred Parenting – Day 3: A Lasting Mark

And you know that we treated each of you as a father treats his own children. We pleaded with you, encouraged you, and urged you to live your lives in a way that God would consider worthy. For he called you to share in his Kingdom and glory. - 1 Thessalonians 2:11‭-‬12 NLT

“When our kids see how we deal with failure, disappointment, frustration, and our own limitations, they are learning.” – Devotions for Sacred Parenting by Gary L. Thomas

Tackling 20 Miles With The Hope Water & Grand Rapids Marathon Teams

I’ve still got another $355 to go in the next 3 weeks to hit my goal for wells in Africa. There is also still donation matching that will be applied so your gift will actually have double the impact. Will you partner with me to bring clean water to Africa? Beginning The Next Marathon Training

This morning officially started my next marathon training. As a ran I couldn’t help but think about the #HWI team and all the new people that may have a lot to overcome this year as they prepare for their first half or full marathon. Also those that have already sustained an injury this year and are on the mend. My prayers were not only for the team and God’s protection and strength, as they overcome each step of the journey, but also how God would use me this year to help the team through their training and continue to slbe used to further the cause. #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Donate to Clean Water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr

    Battling The Cold And Wind

It was a tough early morning training run today. I can definitely tell that I haven’t eating well and getting enough sleep lately. I really need to reevaluate what I’m doing outside of my training runs if I’m going to even hope to complete another marathon. I enjoyed the worship time I had, which was one the major things keeping me going. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus

    Unfortunate News…

So I didn’t get a blog entry in yesterday. Oh well, not much went on. I spent a good portion of the day trying to work out wireless issues. I won’t go into the details, however, ended up spending time today working on it too. I guess it’s back to the drawing board on this one. I’m going to need to do some more research into this. So I got two rather unfortunate emails today, both from my Mom. She’s going to be leaving our home church and finding a new church. This has a lot to do with everything that went on with Masha and how too many people at church didn’t understand. Things were very hard for my whole family. People at church…
