Making A Way For Education Through Clean Water

What we do today has an impact on the future of the generations to come. Bringing clean water to a village in Africa can mean the difference between their children having an education or not. Clean water has long lasting effects that will change the world. What better way to invest in the future generations.

Even though my training plan called for an easy run I took the short distance as an opportunity to push myself. I could definitely feel the warmer temperature this morning. Needless to say, it took me awhile to get cooled down even after my shower.bin hope my dedication to pushing myself prompt others to step up and take part in the cause.

    I’m definitely well on the way to recovery. I enjoyed a nice Saturday group run with the #HWI Daybreak Team. Great conversations with Todd, Nate, and Josh.     Reflecting On My Time In Sierra Leone

    The TL;DR is: I am blessed more than I ever understood and I will make every effort to give thanks in all circumstances. Also, where God’s love exists there is always hope for something better. As I continue to process my experience in Sierra Leone Africa I can’t help but feel like I spent a week in another world. What I find simply amazing is that in a place so filled with hardship, and circumstances I can barely begin to comprehend, there are people that still manage to find joy, be generous, and show love and kindness to someone so very much unlike them.     Getting In Some Miles Early On A Wet Wednesday

    As I was running in the rain this morning it got me thinking about the hardship that the rainy season causes for many in Sierra Leone. Like those that work for Enable The Children, the children with disabilities ministry, and those that #ETC supports. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun It’s crazy to think that something like rain, which should be a blessing to a people in desperate need of clean water, could cause hardship. For many though, the rainy season makes it challenging to get around and do things like sell their goods at the market.     Just Another Tuesday Morning 10K

    Since I kind of felt at an odd place training plan-wise I decided to do a long and hard run. I did however make sure I spent some time connecting with God through prayer and some worship music. During my run I couldn’t help feel blessed, and thankful, for my quick recovery from my surgery. I had the impression that I would have weeks of no running, but my recovery went so well I was feeling good for a run within a week. I also was reminded that just a little over a year ago I had just returned from a trip to Sierra Leone Africa. I will never forget my experience there and the impact it has had on my life.
