Week 2, River Bank Run 5K Training

Let’s just say it was a little cold outside. I still don’t understand why people, and businesses, and churches couldn’t have their sidewalks clear by now. For those that got them cleared you are a blessing to us runners. I made the mistake of using my CamelBak again. The line froze again at about mile 3-4. I need to figure out something better, maybe the best I can do is water bottles when it’s this cold and just conserve. I can say that until now it’s been pretty great weather for runners in the winter. I take days like this as just another way to prepare for anything come the Groundhog Day Marathon. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGusWhy I Ran A 5K This Morning

My run this morning consisted of a combo of an #Endomondo easy and a #HWI hard Tuesday run. Though many might see me as not knowing the meaning of an easy run, ha. I spent a lot of time reflecting on my time in Sierra Leone and the defining moment that occurred and encapsulates why I run. How do you process, and what action do you take when a woman is so desperate for water that she wants you to take her child away so that they have a chance to survive?
