    Race Pace Training Run

    #HWI #HessLakeRun #GRMarathon #Run4Water Only a little wet this morning but it actually felt good by keeping things cooler. Tried to keep at a race pace but as usual my pace was a bit of a roller coaster. Even with music I can’t keep it very consistent from one minute to the next. I need to work on that, but perhaps my consistent race pace is slower than I’d like it to be and that’s why I have such a hard time. I know that I was pushing the limits given how high my heart rate would get. I think maybe it’s time to put aside the training plan that is trying to get me faster and just get out and enjoy the run.     The Time Has Come…

    Well, for those that have long awaited a post to thie fabulous blog, here we go. This will probably be a short one. So much has been going on since my last post, actually a lot happened through December that I didn’t even get time to write about. I’m really looking forward to life settling down a bit. The first day of youth group begins tomorrow, and we had are first youth praise team meeting today, since Christmas that is. Tonight we just came up with a list of songs we want to do this winter/spring. I’ll be putting together the set lists and get them all the songs.     Putting Wood On The Fire

    Put more wood into the fire by accompanying your partner to his/her favourite place. – Day 1, Refresh Your Marriage In 31 Days I can definitely see that the busyness of life makes it more challenging to keep the “wood fires burning” of marriage. Marriage takes work and especially intentional action to keep plain selfishness at bay. If we would keep our focus on serving in our marriage then love would be more readily felt. I need to plan to be intentional about this each day.

    Well, as it would happen I’m actually getting another post in. My hope was to get back to posting daily. In a sense I sort of have been posting daily, it just happens that it hasn’t been on here. I’ve been posting daily devotional thoughts over at the Faith Shaping website. I do want to attempt to get regular weekly posts at the very least. This past weekend I had a nice visit from my parents. I invited them up for a weekend just to hang out. I was kind of hoping to give them a break from things back home too. We had a nice weekend of just hanging out and playing some games, chatting, and did more shopping than I could have guessed…

    Running With Purpose And Hope

    I really worked on trying to keep it an easy run, and not push myself so hard, this morning. I made a point of listening to my heart rate, especially for a long easy run. I definitely had a lot on my mind. When I start lifting people, and needs, up to God in prayer I so easily hey overwhelmed with all the needs of so many that I know. Some days it feels like the world is just such a disaster. Something hit me this morning though. Seeking God’s will and plan for your life was never presented as making for an easy life. The very fact that Jesus said “take up your cross and follow me” is pretty self-explanatory on what that is…
