So I didn’t get a Thursday post up. I was working on the new photo gallery. Also, I didn’t get home till late from my walk. My pictures are up in the gallery. I’m hoping to get the gallery design setup better. Till later…on to my devos.

When God Says Move…You Sell Your House
So yes that’s a rather yuk-yuk pun. Just giving a little update as to the latest in the saga called my life. Oh, and don’t take that the wrong way, it was only ment in a rather sarcastic way. (1 Corinthians 14:13-25) In my devotion time today, Paul was again talking to the church in Corinth about matters of witness to unbelievers and escentially the freedom found in Christ. The problem for the early church, and I would say that this problem has not gone away, was that for the unbelievers (or even weak or new in faith) there were things that they didn’t understand which easily turned them off to Christianity. The hard part comes in that God has called us, as Christians, to be different than this world. Ok, so what a day. I wish I had the time to write all that I wanted, but off to bed I go, already late. Quick recap, woke up with a terrible cold (blah), great day at work, wonderful time at praise team practice (this is going to be a great group of youth to work with, we might even get good enough to lead on a Sunday), and well no new news from Apple. Life Without Internet…Wednesday
So back to Wednesday…it was a bit of a crazy day, as most Wednesdays are. I basically headed straight to church after work. I had Sunday Morning Worship Team practice before youth group. I started early with just Brad. It can be a real challenge for me as I’m not used to playing in more of a backup role on the guitar. I feel pretty clueless as to how to play. What didn’t help matters either was that a lot of the songs I either didn’t know or have never played on the guitar. (I’ve since remedy some of this by more practicing on my own, and I found a couple of the songs on iTunes as we play them. Thanks Passion Worship Band) The… Women’s Roles in Church
(1 Corinthians 14:26-40) So as read the topic title for my devotions this morning I thought “Ah, something good today about worship”, but as I got to the third paragraph I couldn’t believe what I was reading. This is what is says: “(33b) As in all the congregations of the saints, (34) women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. (35) If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.” As I read those words I found a passage that seems to be used in many church, even my own historically. Teach Me Patience…
These past few days have been pretty amazing. Let’s just say for starters, that God has really been teaching me a lot these days. This is something I very much need to think about and reflect on daily. Kind of all goes back to the learning circle. How important it is to reflect, plan, and act on the teaching that God does in our lives. It can be so easy to learn and move on without it having a truely lasting impact on our lives. God has been reminding me of this too. As of Wednesday God has really been revealing to me a need to be getting out of the Christian bubble I live in.
