So I didn’t get a Thursday post up. I was working on the new photo gallery. Also, I didn’t get home till late from my walk. My pictures are up in the gallery. I’m hoping to get the gallery design setup better. Till later…on to my devos.

    As I sat here thinking about how to safely write my thoughts, I began to be reminded of the life of Christ and his actions. I’m thinking of how he was viewed by those around him. Is it not true that Christ did things that were against the culture of the times, or at least things that caused people to question his actions? He had meals with those that the spiritual leaders wouldn’t dare find themselves in the company of. I guess at the moment the only examples that come to mind are those where he interacted with people that most wouldn’t. I guess my ultimate question is where is the line drawn where we can live in the freedom we have in Christ verses…

  • Start Out Another Week…

    Well, as it would happen I’m actually getting another post in. My hope was to get back to posting daily. In a sense I sort of have been posting daily, it just happens that it hasn’t been on here. I’ve been posting daily devotional thoughts over at the Faith Shaping website. I do want to attempt to get regular weekly posts at the very least. This past weekend I had a nice visit from my parents. I invited them up for a weekend just to hang out. I was kind of hoping to give them a break from things back home too.     Weekend of Rest and Learning

    Well, I have to say that it has been a pretty nice weekend of rest. I know that I haven’t been as regular in the blog posts. I’m still going to have to work to remedy that. I’ve actually half thought about adding an audio component to my regular blog. Since I’ve got this podcasting equipment it seems a shame to only be using it once a week. Also, I’ve gotten so many comments about my voice, why wouldn’t people want to sit and listen to me ramble.     Wild Life: No One Gets The Master Plan, And No One Is Perfect

    I’ve known for a long time that I’m a perfectionist and a planner. This had always been both a strength and a great weakness for me. The major weakness is that I’m always trying to figure out God’s plan and I turn my perfectionism into unrealistic expectations of others. Also my perfectionism takes a lot of joy out of life. It means that unless it’s perfect I’m not happy, and the kicker is that it most likely 9 times out of 10 it isn’t going to be perfect. That’s a pretty sad way to live honestly. Add to the perfectionism the desire to always have a plan makes life pretty difficult as things more often than not don’t go according to the plan. Reading through…

    10 Things I’m Going To Love About MI

    OK, so as I’m preparing this week for my big move to MI I’m thinking what I could share with you all about some reasons why I’m excited about this move. So here we go, let’s see if I can come up with 10. 1. More time I can spend with the most amzing woman I know! 😉 2. Many trips to a real beach! (with Vanessa of course!) 3.
