We All Need Support From Others

Today God opened my eyes to the current state of my life, and the need for the support of people who love me. It can be the most humbling thing to ask for help, I have felt that tonight. My inability to say no, and my drive to please the world, have brought me to a place where many aspects of my life have suffered. I haven’t had the time needed for quality time building relationships that count. If committed to things and let people down. I’ve let the things that I’m doing push out my time with the Lord. I felt the affects of all of this.

I have two special people that love me and continue to look out for me. I’ve let that relationship suffer the most. This is something I can’t let myself do anymore. I feels so relieving and amazing to have friends that love you so much that they are willing to say the hard things, and at the same time be there to help you get back on your feet. These are the kind of relationships we all need, especially as Christians. This is the kind of Christian life I want to live. One where Christian brothers and sisters can feel free to say the hard things and be authentic. Where there isn’t a desire to cover up our sins and live fake outward lives. I think the life I crave so much is the perfect one God promises to us in heaven. It’s even in the downfall times like this that God can give us a glimmer of what we will experience in heaven with Him. Praise God!

One final note, I want give my deepest apolagizes to those of you that might be a reader and someone I have neglected. I ask for your forgiveness. And I pray that God will do His work in me to correct that.

Dusting Off The Blog in The Corner

I’m going to keep this a little short as I’m actually typing this all out on my phone. I decided to try to consolidate and at the same time bring my old blog up-to-date and back into the picture. I haven’t really taken the time to blog in years. Going to perhaps pick things up again, while at the same time tie in my Twitter and facebook. We’ll see how it goes, not making any commitment, plus I can only type so long on my phone before nmy hands get tired. More to come later, hopefully.

    What’s in Store?

Well, I said that I was going to try and start blogging once again and I see it’s been like a month since my last post. Let’s just say life seems to be forever busy, not to say that life wasn’t busy back when I would blog up to 2 times a day, but things are busier. Now that I’m marriage and hopefully a baby on the way there is just more responsibilities. I think I’m coming to a point in my life where I’m having to really look hard at what is really most important. There are so many things I could be doing, and pretty much all good things. The thing that I wrestle with the most is that family comes first. What…
  • “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.”

(Matthew 9:37) Why does it seem that the spiritual needs of people in this world vastly out-weigh the human resources? Why does it seem as though the Christian community (church global) continue to fail in it’s ministry to the world we live in? Where is our faith, is it so small that it has rendered our witness useless? Am I the only one out here that has his hearting breaking every time I see the brokenness of this world? How do we truely make a global impact for Christ in this world? God, give me Your guidance and wisdom, help me to be the kind of Christian You call us to be. Keep my eyes open, and give me the courage to share Your message…
  • When God Says Move…You Sell Your House

So yes that’s a rather yuk-yuk pun. Just giving a little update as to the latest in the saga called my life. Oh, and don’t take that the wrong way, it was only ment in a rather sarcastic way. So on with it…I received my first offer on my house. It really isn’t what I’m hoping to get. The reality is if I was desperate I might take it, however that is not the case. I just can’t accept an offer that won’t give me the ability to actually make the move to Michigan. I know that it all needs to be left in God’s hands, and I’m not the greatest salesman, however I don’t really agree that I should intentionally take a hit on…

  1. Wow. I read these things and think “I’m so lucky to have a friend like Tim.” You really are totally amazing. The things you write on here cause me to think about myself and how i spend my own time, how i need to have good Christian friends, how I need to be honest and upfront with them… and much more… You are someone I look up to. I don’t mean to put more weight on you. You don’t have to think you have to work to be a role model for me. Even in your “failings” you are someone I look up to. You are such a great guy Tim.
    Thanks

  2. I love how God gives us those friends that challenge us to do what God wants us to do in our lives. I’m very thankful for the people that do that in my life.

I have to agree with Anders though – in the short time I’ve known you, I’ve been impressed with your influence on so many people. I think most feel honored to be able to share life with you.

  3. I want to affirm your observations and our discussions (analog and organic) about your desire to create and protect space in your life for important relationships. Busyness (and our tendancy to not be able to say “no”) may well be the broadest path to lethargy and lukewarm spirituality – and especially to inauthentic living. Carry on!
