When God Says Move…You Sell Your House

So yes that’s a rather yuk-yuk pun. Just giving a little update as to the latest in the saga called my life. Oh, and don’t take that the wrong way, it was only ment in a rather sarcastic way. So on with it…I received my first offer on my house. It really isn’t what I’m hoping to get. The reality is if I was desperate I might take it, however that is not the case. I just can’t accept an offer that won’t give me the ability to actually make the move to Michigan. I know that it all needs to be left in God’s hands, and I’m not the greatest salesman, however I don’t really agree that I should intentionally take a hit on the sale and put God to the test. Frankly, we have been commanded not to put God to the test. In a way I guess the wait still continues. I’m planning on contact the first couple that looked at the house, to at least let them know that an offer has come in on the house. I might also try and contact this other couple from church that I’ve heard are looking for a house. I really just need to get a couple thousand more for the house and that would pretty much take care of all the expenses involved with moving. Well, it’s another late one so I’m going to leave things here for now.

  • The Rat Race…

Well, it’s been crazy lately. I’ve had so many things going on. So I haven’t gotten much for posts up in the last few days. I was up way too late trying to get me photo gallery going on Thursday, after my walk. The walk Thursday was very relaxing. I wish I didn’t have so much going on all the time. I really enjoy the time outdoors, I can’t wait until the camping trip this weekend. As a result of being up so late I had a hard time getting up Friday morning, this meant I didn’t get my devotions done before work. It’s been a real battle for me to change my sleep schedule. I’ve been such a night owl, but getting to bed…

    John Confirms Jesus

(John 1:29-34) So, John didn’t know Jesus really, other than what God had revealed to him. However, the key things that God revealed to him was how he would recognize who Jesus was. We see here that Jesus came to John to be baptized. Even though, as far as John was concerned, he wasn’t worthy to baptize Jesus that is what Jesus required of him. He did this and then John saw first hand the Holy Spirit come down onto Jesus, and this was exactly what God had told John would happen. At that point John had no doubt at all that this was Jesus. He told everyone what he had been told and experienced.

    God Confirms It

So I just got done reading my devotional this morning. Wouldn’t you know the subject was exactly part of what I was talking about last night. The “normal” life, or balanced life as the devotional put. Christ’s life, as well as the disciples, was anything but normal or balanced. When it comes to meeting the spiritual needs of others, and doing the things that really count, normality isn’t the way to operate. How refreshing it is to have some good quality time to let God fill me for the day, Amen!
  • Another Day of Wireless…

Well, today I was working a lot with tweaking the wireless setup on the laptops. I was able to get them to authenticate and login to the domain all wirelessly. Only problem is this was through the IBM ThinkPad wireless configuration tool. I need to figure out how to configure this via straight Windows XP. Then the next step is can a Mac do this? Phil is connected via wireless in his iMac. And it would be good if it could do the same thing. More Googling and research.

    Katrina Victims, In Our Prayers…

I was listening to a Podcast yesterday on my way to my parents(surprise..lol), and one comment that was made on there was how the online blog community hasn’t been as active, concerning the Katrina victims, as they were after the tsunami hit South Asia. I was working on my blog, man I’ve been working a lot on it lately, and saw TWiT’s support right on their homepage. Now I know very few people will be visiting my site, most don’t even know about it, but I wanted people that do visit to know, that as a proud member of the blog community, I too am concerned with the tragedy down south. I would encourage those able to give to please do so. More later…

  1. first of all: way to say “yuk-yuk pun.” that was amazazing

Secondly: I’m sure God will work all this out for what’s best in your life. I can see you are really relying on Him and trying to follow His will. I’m praying for you Tim.

  2. Tim:
I don’t know what to say about the news that you are moving to MI. I guess the last time we heard from you we found out about Vanessa and now you are thinking about moving where she is.
You know what Tim, when the Lord puts a desire in your heart, he will take care of the rest. We like to see things moving fast, but I warn you, be very pacient because sometimes it takes time. But, we are glad to know what is happening with you so we can pray for your plans and for God’s will to be clearly shown to you.
By the way, we saw Vanessa’s pictures. She’s pretty. Maybe someday we can see you and meet her. Tim, you are a great guy and you deserve a wonderful woman in your life. We hope things work out for good. Write back and let us know how are things going with work and the sell of the house.
    See ya,
    Flor
