We Need To Persevere In All Areas Of Our Lives

There is a lot of perseverance that I need these days. Between work, our new house moving, serving at Daybreak, and training for the Fifth Third River Bank Run I’m being pulled and challenged and it’s easy to feel like giving up on any one of those. Thankful for God’s encouragement and truth today.

    (Exodus 3:1-5) So God used a burning bush to get Moses attention. What does He use today to get our attention. I’m reminded of something a pastor said recently, “can we hear God’s whisper in this loud world?”, can we? The world that we live in is definitely busier and louder than in Biblical times.   • Moved In And Lovin’ It

    Well folks (readers/freinds) I’m am now know as a Michigander (as Vanessa would call it). I haven’t gotten a new drivers license or license plates on the car but I really do feel at home at the moment. I still need to get myself familiar with the area but I’ve got a map (thx Nessa!) and I’m pretty confident I’ll figure it out in no time. The move went pretty well, all except the long drive, and little sleep, between Thursday & Friday. Thanks to those of you that helped with all the packing and loading.   • Congrats Peter & Becky…

    Well, I headed down to the Twin Cities today for Peter & Becky’s wedding. I’m glad I gave myself plenty of time. I kind of got lost but still made it an hour before the wedding. I got to see some former camp staff I haven’t seen for awhile. It was fun to reconnect with people again. Greg & Janet sat next to me at the wedding and I got a little caught up on what’s been happening at camp more recently. The wedding was great. I do have to say though that weddings are getting hard for me. Genesis 2:18 was referenced a lot today, which is fitting for a wedding.   • I Hear Wedding Bells…It’s Official!

    Just wanted to let all of those that might be cruising to see what I’m up to that I am engaged! That’s right, there is a woman out there (Vanessa 😉 ) that would have me. 😀 We had an amazing day together, during our dinner I popped the question. It’s way late now so I’m not going to stay up to give all of the details, I’ll give the skinny tomorrow sometime. I can’t wait for you all to meet my fiancee!
