When we set out on a run we never know how it’s going to go. We’re going to have good days and we’re going to have bad days. Regardless of how things go we have a God by our side that can get us through those tough hills, unexpected pains, or the feelings of giving up, and bring us across the finish line.

    So now my special someone is all the buzz with those that know me. Everyone wants to hear more about how things went, and what the scoop is. I even got asked did you get engaged.     Another Quick One…If That’s Possible

    Well, the goal here is to keep it short so I can get to bed. So today was a pretty good day. I really feel like I got some things done at work. I’ve been getting some very encouraging words from many, I thank you all again. As I’ve thought even more about this topic of relationships I’m finding myself torn on a fine line between expecting God to do all the work and taking it all into my own hands. I think a big issue is motivation. While it’s not bad to look elsewhere for social interact, thinking about not having much for single people to hang out with, my motivation is to find my future wife. This really needs to be left to…

    A Run Focusing On The Physical Needs Of Others

    Had a sluggish start this morning, but I pushed myself and got things improved my the end of my run. I did miss most of the rain, just got caught in some sprinkles during the last quarter mile. Most of my focus though was on those I know that have physical needs, including our Enable The Children sponsored child. It seems that the physical needs in our world almost match that of the spiritual need. And yet we see time and again that God uses those physical needs to bring people into relationship with Him.     My First Big Race, Fifth Third Riverbank Run

    Today wasn’t my 1st race but it was the first big race with a lot of excitement and energy. I had the pleasure of running with a HWI Team Daybreak member, Scott Woody. We finished in excellent time given it was a first 10k race for both of us. I know that today was nothing compared to the experience of the Grand Rapids marathon with the full Daybreak crew. I had such an awesome time, and the feeling of accomplishment and energy as we came into the finish was unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Many are encouraging me to run the full marathon in the fall, including my wife. I have my reservations simply because I don’t want to over do it. As crazy as…
