Visited Frederick Meijer Gardens on our anniversary weekend. Enjoyed the butterflies and spent​ time enjoying the place where our marriage started 10 years ago, under the arbor.

    Nothing Exciting, But Frustrated…

    Well, nothing special today. I didn’t even get up until like noon. I was up late, as is most nights. Did some lunch then back to the blog. This blog thing has really taken over. I think the big thing is it’s my only outlet for for talking, don’t really have anyone to hang out with. I really don’t know that anyone would want to sit and listen to me talk about this stuff anyways. I’d be surprised if people even want to read all my dribble. Didn’t connect with any of my friends today, either. They’re probably out of town for the holiday weekend.

    A Time of Pruning…?

    Well, it sure seems like I’ve entered into a time of pruning. I got an email tonight that someone has been hired to redesign and take over the camp website. I really haven’t been involved with it much the past year, but it seems like my involvement with camp is coming more to a close. I still have mixed feelings about this. When you give so much towards something and then not be apart of it anymore it’s just kind of a strange feeling. I really hope that they will be served well. I’m kind of feeling a little lost now. I’m so used to having a load of things to do. If I don’t have a project to work on I’m not sure what…

    Seeing The Light…

    Since I’m still up, oh boy, let’s get a quick post in. Well, I’ll have to say that I’m beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve got only one project I’ll be working on this week. I’m hoping to have that finished up by weeks end. The next step will be to take a break and just be social. I had a good time tonight visiting with some friends that were in town. Darren’s Mom & step Dad live right across the street. I’m going to have to plan a trip to visit them this spring. I didn’t get a chance to play with little Dane, so there’s another reason to visit.     God is Awesome, of Course…Today Life is Grand Too!

    Ok, so today was a pretty excellent day. It’s amazing that God can be so good to us despite our downfalls. Well, this morning I found out something pretty crazy. One of my matches on eHarmony just happens to be someone that I at least know of. I can’t recall actually meeting her at anytime. The thing of it is that I have worked with her sister. And I know her Dad. She’s not a paying member of eHarmony but that’s just fine. We’ve already started to chat a little on MSN. I don’t know where this will lead if anywhere. I have no expectations but I’m looking forward to getting to know her. I already know enough about her that I know I’m looking…

    Completed My First Marathon…

    Today was a pretty big day for me. I completed my first ever marathon. It was a tough day, with the down pouring rain, wind gusts of 20 some miles per hour, and getting cramps in my legs that slowed me down, I ended the race pretty discouraged. Not to mention I ended up having to be taken to the medic tent after crossing the finish line, which was something my running partner and I had talked about not wanting to have happen to us. Let’s just say it was a pretty humbling experience. I’m so thankful for all of the encouragement from the many Hope Water International runners the kept encouraging me on the way to the finish line. I especially appreciate Ron Bussa and Nick…
