Prayer, Worry, and Thankfulness

Prayer is not always easy for me, especially when I’m compelled to do it all on my own. We live in a world that perpetuates​ that thinking. Good wants us not only to bring Him our needs but wants us to come to Him with be thanks when things are going well. It’s easy to forget to go to God in the good times but that’s like never hanging out with your friends but just going to them when you need something. Most of us don’t like to be in that kind of relationship very long. How do we think God feels about is h having that kind of relationship with Him?

    Devotions this morning says, as Christians, we should not be thinking “I can’t”, at least in following God’s direction.     Today begins a great step for me. I’ve gotten up in time for devotions & quite time, and looks like I’ll get to work a little earlier. I started reading a devotional I picked up some time ago. Time To Get Serious by Tony Evans. The reading for today seems to fit right along with Pastor Dave’s message yesterday. The key scripture Philippians 3:3-7 was when Paul was talking about all the things he could boast in but that none of it meant anything next to Christ.   • Wow, Shortest Post Ever…

    Ok, so what a day. I wish I had the time to write all that I wanted, but off to bed I go, already late. Quick recap, woke up with a terrible cold (blah), great day at work, wonderful time at praise team practice (this is going to be a great group of youth to work with, we might even get good enough to lead on a Sunday), and well no new news from Apple.     God’s Working

    In an effort to trying posting on a regular basis, here goes #2 for the year. 🙂 Recently over the course of a few weeks I applied for a job, got 2 intrviews and was offered a job. The job, in-and-of itself, I would have loved, however it would have come at a great financial cost to my family, which would have made it much harder to either adopt again or think about buying a new house. I think what was most important that came out of the whole situation was the realization that neither me or my family has any real goals or plans for our lives. God really brought that to light, and really made it apparent that without that sort of plan…
