Great weather for a run this morning. Starting to see a lot more runners out in the mornings now. Enjoyed another run focusing on listening to God instead of letting myself get totally consumed with the craziness of life. Counting down the days until I get on the plane to #SierraLeone #Africa with the team. #HWI #HessLakeRun #GRMarathon #Run4Water

Great to be back running with the #HWI team and getting to know some #KCC family as well. #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRHalfMarathon
It was a tough run this morning the snow covered sidewalks and pathways really took their tole the further I got into my run. On top of that my CamelBak nozzle froze up and couldn’t get any water for a good portion of the second half of my run. What was supposed to be a 17 mile run ended up being only a 15 mile run. I had my mask on to help cover my face from the wind, which I’m so thankful I had decided to that otherwise my face probably would have been frozen. There is no telling what the weather is going to be like come February 2nd, for the Groundhog Day Marathon. After today’s experience I’m a little more concerned about…
I didn’t get this posted yesterday, it was a busy day with family celebrating my son’s birthday. It was nice weather in the morning for a run. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun
Support education in Africa through clean water. https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon #Education Clean water doesn’t only save lives in Africa, it also helps promote education and a brighter future for children. Instead of young boys and girls having to make the trip to retrieve water for the family they can spend their time in school furthering their education.
When I look back to 2016 at this time I’m pretty amazed at how far I’ve come. At that time I was lucky to probably have gone 1 mile in around 30 minutes, and that was probably mostly walking. Comparing that to my run today I can honestly say that God used running to make a huge change in my life as well as the people of Sierra Leone, Africa. God has blessed me in my running. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun
In the U.S. water is so easily available that it’s easy to take it for granted. In places like Sierra Leone water is not so easy to come buy or at least clean water that won’t cause other issues. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Donate to Clean Water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr
