I’m not sure what to make of yet another hard interval run. It is training so to a degree it should be hard. I guess I’m hopeful that in the end I will be better trained for the #GRGus Groundhog Day Marathon come February. I think I consider it a failure when I can’t hit the intervals all right on with the expected pace. Maybe I’m focusing too much on the plan and trying to get better instead of just being content with being ready to simply finish the marathon. There is also the aspect of not losing sight of the reasons I run. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun

For awhile the running pictures have been of me followed by my thoughts about my running. What has been lost quite a bit is the the focus on running to bring clean water to Africa. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun

Had a nice cool 14 mile run this morning. It’s amazing how much cooler temperatures make a difference in how you feel on the longer runs. Felt great all the way to the end. It was a bit shorter run than last week of course. Loved seeing everyone out for the group run this morning….
In the U.S. pretty much everyone has running water where they live. How much water do we use in a day? Showers, meals, washing dishes and clothes, using the bathroom, watering the flowers/garden/lawn, making coffee/tea/other drinks. What if you had to walk 2-5 miles to get a jug of water, maybe even river or pond…
I felt really out of sync this morning. As others have pointed out from the HWP Team what you eat the day before has an impact on your runs. It wasn’t that I ate bad all day but I didn’t fuel myself enough to prepare for my run this morning. I’m still trying to figure…
Had a great Memorial Day training run with my running partner. Kind of an annual thing. #HWI #HessLakeRun #GRMarathon #Run4Water,
