8.5 Miles, It’s About The Purpose Not The Pace

Will you help make clean water a reality for children in Africa? Give today: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI Having been a runner for about 4 years now I know how easy it can be to get caught up in times, paces, and having a good race. Being a part of Hope Water is about #WhyIRun which ultimately is about having a platform to share about the great need for clean water around the world, and specifically Africa. This morning as I ran I felt like just putting enjoying the run and focusing on my #Run4Water instead of worrying about how fast, or slow, I was going. I still had a distance as my target, and that was really the only thing I was concerned with. I am…

A Rough Evening Long Run In Indiana

Attempting to do a long run in the evening after a full day of activities with the family proved to be a bad idea. While I started off strong I just totally ran out of steam after a little over 14 miles. My overall average was still better than I would have thought, but that might just be for the fact that I was really going too fast to start. The unfamiliar roads, darkness, and rolling hills also didn’t help. I think the biggest thing I can say is that it is much harder doing these long runs alone. I won’t say that it can’t be done, but having the company of a fellow runner makes a huge difference. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Donate to…

10 Mile Hard Run, In More Ways Than One

It was a real struggle to do 10 miles this morning after coming down with a cold and missing a training run. The first half was pretty good but the second half was a big push. I only got caught in a little bit of rain at the 7 mile mark so it was actually refreshing. Donate to Water, to Life – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne I did spend much of the second half of my run paying for those God prompted me to pray for. That also included prayer for Alimamy and his family, our ETC sponsored child in Sierra Leone. #HWI #GRMarathon #Run4Water #WaterIsLife #WhyIRun

    Choosing A Life Of Integrity

Integrity is not defined by proclaiming to be honest; it’s defined by the choices we make. When it comes to integrity, our words have to match our actions. We can’t just say we have integrity. We must choose it. – A Life Of Integrity Life is all about the choices we make. Some of those choices seem easier than others. Three hard choices are the ones that really test your integrity. Knocking Out Another Long Run With My Running Partner

It was a great morning for a long run with my running partner John. It was nice to have him help me keep a better pace throughout the run which actually resulted in an even better finish, both in pace and how I felt. Sometimes accountability it the best thing to keep you in track. I definitely feel more ready for the Groundhog Day Marathon now compared to some of my other recent runs. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus “If you want to run far, run in community.
