I haven’t been posting my runs in awhile, just for the pure fact of the extra time it requires to post it to my blog. It’s just faster using Endomondo’s share feature to post to social media rather than turning off the social media sharing of my blog posts. Today’s training run, day 2/week 3, was a slow pace day. Was very hard to stick to the show pace, as evidenced by my time. It was supposed to be a 11:42 min/mi rune but it was more like 10:00 min/mi. ? We began day 3 at the World Hope offices of course. As we’ve hung out at the offices, and been driven to villages, we’ve had the opportunity to get to know many of the nationals that work for World Hope. It’s been a blessing to have people that are willing to be patient with us as we’ve tried to learn about the culture and learn to better communicate. We left the World Hope offices for a quick stop at the village of Bomballi Bana, where World Hope has been working since 2010. They worked with a church partner to assist with the development of the schools, church, and of course putting in a well. It was so awesome to see how well the students were…Choosing To Run
This morning was one of those where after the alarm went off I had to convince myself to get up and get ready to run instead of going back to bed. I have never been a morning person, so for me to look for an excuse to stay longer in bed, instead of getting up at 4am, is no surprise. Even though there was a little bit of moisture this morning it was still great weather for a run. I know that right now it seems pretty outrageous to be asking people to support the clean water effort when many have lost their jobs, or are otherwise undergoing major hardships due to the coronavirus. The other global needs that existed before the pandemic hit didn’t go away so we can’t forget about them.
