A Fitness Level Training Run to Start the New Year Right

I post my runs for 3 purposes, to bring awareness to the need for clean water, to motivate or encourage other runners, and to keep myself accountable.

Help bring clean water to those in need: https://timn.me/2020HWI

Overall I kept a good average pace for the entire 32 minute run. When you look at the details, however, you can see that while I started off strong in the first half I lost a lot of steam for the second half. I’ve got a long ways to go but my hope is that each week I’m doing a little better then the last.

    3rd 5K, Tough Morning…Inclines

This morning felt like a pretty big challenge. It being my 3rd 5K this week I just felt off from the start. After looking at my distance climbed I think I understand why today felt like so much of a struggle, I had about 90 feet of incline then my last 2 5Ks. Looks like the machine decided to take things up a notch today. I’m not unhappy with my pace. It just feels like I took a step back from the start of the week. I think my body is still recovering from lack of sleep since I was up way late the night before last. I hope it’ll work to make it to a HWP group run soon. • Time For New Shoes

I’ve been running on these old shoes for some time. They’ve gotten pretty badly worn and it was high time I get new ones before I injured myself. Looking forward to my first run in them. A little bird (i.e. my wife) told me that a couple HWP Team Daybreak members have these shoes too.

    Getting in A 10K+ Run

Clean water has a huge effect on a village. When clean water is readily available it means students can go to school that would have otherwise had to spend their days collecting water. An education opens up so many doors for children and gives them hope for a brighter future. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus Make An Impact, Give to Clean Water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr
