Almost A Tuesday 5K

Starting off the week with a short “easy” run even though my training called for an interval run. Even though I’m typically one to follow a training plan pretty closely, I know where I’m at right know with my fitness level.

I’m adjusting the plan to allow myself to start pushing my fitness level forward, and not end up being discouraged on every run. I know that I’m pretty far physically from where I was at even only a year, and definitely 2 years ago when I has a pretty great 25K run. Whether I can say that I’ll be able to get back to where I used to be I can’t say for certain, but at this point my goal is to simply continue to run.

Kicking It Into High Great After A Day Of Rest

After taking the previous day off due to lack of sleep I was more than ready to go this morning. So much so that I was pretty much in a comfortable high gear for most of the run. It helps to be rockin’ the worship music right along with my run. I have to give credit to those longer hard speed work training days too. I’m still looking for a few more people that might consider donating to wells in Africa as the year comes to an end and Christmas approaches. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus Donate to Water – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne

Nearing The End Of The 25K Training

I’m on the taper part of my training as the #RiverBankRun approaches this Saturday. After not running for a few days I wondered how this morning would even go. It started off slow but by the end I was cruisin’. I managed to get another PR this morning which feels like a good place to be going into race week. My plan right now will be to stick with the pacers on Saturday. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun

    It’s The Abominable Snowman!

Let’s just say it was a little cold outside. I still don’t understand why people, and businesses, and churches couldn’t have their sidewalks clear by now. For those that got them cleared you are a blessing to us runners. I made the mistake of using my CamelBak again. The line froze again at about mile 3-4. I need to figure out something better, maybe the best I can do is water bottles when it’s this cold and just conserve. I can say that until now it’s been pretty great weather for runners in the winter. I take days like this as just another way to prepare for anything come the Groundhog Day Marathon. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus

Another 15 Miles For Clean Water

Help Bring Clean Water to Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Now is the time to be kicking the fundraising into high gear. We have a $50,000 matching gift right now. Anyone that gives will have their donation doubled. It’s like a buy-one-get-one donation. ? #BOGOGiving Why not take advantage and double your impact! I didn’t get up early enough to get the additional 2 miles in that was on the HWI training plan, but I met the #Endomondo training plan miles. I knocked out the run with a pretty fast pace to get done before the running group met at 7am. It was way faster than the 9:53/9:23 pacing I was supposed to be running. I made it in time though.
