    Starting Off The Week With A Long Wet Training Run

    Despite the rain and chill, caused by a little breeze, it was decent enough to get out for a longer run. The weather was still a big motivator to keep going, which unfortunately caused my pace to be faster than what the training plan called for, but oh well. #Endomondo I enjoyed a run full of #worship music, but I felt so overwhelmed by the needs of friends and family, physically; emotionally; and spiritually, that it was very hard to focus and being very specific in my prayers.     Focusing On Others Through The Run

    During this time when the best course is staying at home away from others as much as possible focusing on #WhyIRun and the people of Sierra Leone keep me going. if you let yourself get stuck on focusing on yourself you’ll start to get even more overwhelmed and selfish. When you focus on others in need you realize how blessed you truly are and can use that to help others as God intended for us. #HWI #Run4Water

    Getting In Some Miles Early On A Wet Wednesday

    As I was running in the rain this morning it got me thinking about the hardship that the rainy season causes for many in Sierra Leone. Like those that work for Enable The Children, the children with disabilities ministry, and those that #ETC supports. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun It’s crazy to think that something like rain, which should be a blessing to a people in desperate need of clean water, could cause hardship. For many though, the rainy season makes it challenging to get around and do things like sell their goods at the market. A well also brings safety during the rainy season both from a health standpoint as well as from the risks of trying to gather water from moving water like streams. Help…

    Giving Your Time And Attention

One of the reasons for this is put together so nicely in my devotions this morning, showing our kids how important they are by giving them time.
