    A Brutal Winter Run

    Wow, that is all I can say about the weather this morning on my run. Between the freezing rain pelting me, the massive wind gusts, and the snow-covered sidewalks that reduced my traction to almost zero, let’s just say I felt like I ran 12 miles not just shy of 6. I laugh because today was supposed to be an easy run day, and with that pace you might think I took it slow but that wasn’t really what went down. Mornings like this make it hard to focus on much else than the will power to keep going and get it done. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun

    Nearing The End Of The Marathon Training, Only One More To Go

    2nd to the last marathon training run today. Since I took a break yesterday in order to get some extra rest I decided to stick with the #Endomondo plan which called for some speed work, well sort of. ? I spent the slower end of the run lifting many of my family up in prayer, in addition to those in Africa that are still waiting for access to clean water. Our world is full of both physical and spiritual needs.     First “Long Run” of 2021

    Started of this new year with a 10K Saturday “long run”, as my training plan called it. It was a tough run. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun #Hello2021 #NewYear I can tell that this past year has taken a toll on my health. Unfortunately I’m a stress eater. I think food has always been something that I’ve used to feel good. Of course, when you live a pretty sedentary lifestyle, that causes weight gain and I struggled with that for many years. I haven’t gained all of the weight back that I lost a few years ago, staying active and running has helped with that. However, my eating habits this past year started to regress.
