Supporting OpenLiteSpeed on arm64 With Docker

So, after having leveraged the free tier of to setup a instance, my next plan was to move my web server hosting under the same free tier.

Without getting into all of the details, I began work on building out a image build of specifically for running on . I’ll be using this to run my sites as well as any other web services. A full detailed blog post of my new setup will be forthcoming.

Testing and feedback are welcome for anyone interested in giving it a try. https://github.com/ndigitals/ols-dockerfiles

6 Miles For Clean Water And A New Fundraiser For 2020

I expected to have a tough time during my training run given my tougher run the previous day, but things turned out really well. It just goes to show you that some days will be tough, yet some will be outstanding. With the new season of #HWI officially starting that also means a new fundraiser page. To kick things off I’ll be maching dollar-for-dollar the first $500 in donations. #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon #RiverBankRun Give to clean water: https://timn.me/2020HWI

Getting It Done On A Monday Morning

It was one of those mornings where after getting up you entertain the idea of just going back to bed instead of get out there for a run. I got over it and hit the streets. It was a slow start, but by the end of my run I had easily picked up the pace. I came to a point, after having prayed for the pending #SierraLeone team, that it kind of dawned on me. How many of those in Sierra Leone get tired of the daily trek to get water for another day? They don’t really have the choice. I had a relatively easy choice this morning, nothing in my life hinges on that choice to run or not. My choice to run may…

Running Is My One On One Time

It’s still a little bit to get used to doing these longer “midweek” runs on a Monday instead of a Tuesday, but I think I’m getting into a groove with it. It’s nice to have a long “easy” run on a Monday where is can spend a lot of time listening to worship music, listening for God’s direction, and presenting the needs of friends and family to Him. I can honestly say that getting our for a morning run has not only been good for my physical health but it’s had a huge impact on my spiritual health as well. I do enjoy group runs but there is something to be said for having time where it’s just you, the pavement, and God. I spent…

    Running And Giving Thanks

Back at it after my camping vacation. I commend those that are able to stick with the training while on vacation. My love right now isn’t really conducive to running while on vacation much. It was nice to back out running having some worship and prayer time. I spent some time giving God thanks for walking with me as I worked to get healthy, which allows me to run for clean water. #HWI #GRMarathon #Run4Water #WhyIRun I also spent some time giving Him thanks for the amazing wife He has blessed me with. In many ways my wife is the better half in our family. I’ve been blessed to have someone that can counter my failings when it comes to being a parent but also…

Knocking Out 14 Miles For Clean Water

This past week I was reading a YouVersion devotional written by a marathon runner. The author talked about the point during the marathon when we are faced with the question “why am I doing this?”. This can also happen during those tough training days. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus Today was a good day, but on a long run the question of why can still pop up. Why did I wake up a 5am on a Saturday to run 14 miles? The reason for me is 3-fold. First is the mission to continue sharing the need for clean water. Second is do my best to stay active and healthy. The third reason is to be an example to my kids, and by getting up early I’m…

Striving For Better But Not Losing Sight Of The Purpose

When it comes down to it I have a strange definition of “easy run”. The reality of it is that I just have this drive to always do better, to try harder. I know perfectly well that I won’t be winning any races in the foreseeable future, but like in most things I do I know I can always do better. The key piece that I can’t, we all can’t, forget is that doing better doesn’t change how much God loves us. Our worst is no different than our best in God’s eyes. Ultimately, God only cares about where our heart is at, and if we are in a relationship with him. I run not just to get better at running, but because I know…
