Most children in Sierra Leone don’t get to be “just kids” like kids can in America. Many children are the ones responsible for gathering the water that their entire family needs for the day. This results in either no education, or very little. Bringing more clean water to Africa means a better future for the children. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun Help Bring Clean Water to Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr I almost got 9 miles in, which is almost 3 miles beyond the farthest distance I’ve run since finishing the #GRMarathon in October. It definitely felt harder on the last half than the 1st half. I’m glad I was able to get through it without getting let cramps again.
Bringing clean water to Africa takes a team, #HWI runners and supporters raising money for a well, the World Hope team to plan and drill a well, and a community in need that will be committed to care for the new water source. #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun Join us to bring clean water to Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr
Give just $25, and it’ll be $50 with the current matching. $25 a day until the #GRMarathon to hit $1000. https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun Every morning I get ready to go run I turn to the sink to fill up my water. However much I feel like I need or want. For villages in Africa the choice is not that simple. We have public drinking fountains, bathrooms everywhere. Every dollar Hope Water raises helps to make water more readily available to those in need. I’m glad to say that I didn’t end up with any significant injuries from my fall on Saturday, other than some scraped up knees. I managed a pretty intensive run this morning. Everything felt great.
